Thalalla South Maha Vidyalaya is a Sri Lankan Government school on the Southern province of Sri Lanaka..It is about 07 kilometers away from the city of Matara.
Our school consist of 45 qulified accadamic staff and 05 member of non accadamic staff.
nearly 500 students are studying in it. It has classes from Grade 1 - 13 and Advanced Level classes are held only in Arts, Commerce and ICT streams.The staff provide equal opportunitys to acquire the competencies needed to be good sitizens.
Our school and Computer lab was totally destroyed by Tsunami disaster in year 2004. After Tsunami disaster Some few computer & some computer devicess were donated fot the school by some philanthropists. Switzerland Development Cooparation (SDC) was reconstruction of our school. Computer Learning center of Thalalla South maha Vidyalaya
has already started an
e-School project.
The main aim of this project is to give facilities regarding computer technology to the school community and those people who live in
village of Thalalla.

Objectives of e-Village Thalalla Program:
(01) One of the objectives to have this e-School project is to enhance the teaching learning process with the help of computer and Internet move effectively.(02) To provide the opportunities of having the benefits and the maximum advantages of Information Communication Technology for the Principals who have administrative powers, the Teachers who engage in teaching learning process, the students of the relevant area, the clergy and the people who live in the area.(03) It also gives the opportunities for educational, Professional, Vocational and the usage of daily activities and necessities.(04) To produce the people who have the abilities for e-Jobs.(05) To assist the objective to have an e-Sri Lanaka.
The project which is started by Mr. Kumara Abeygunawardana (ICT ISA Matara Education Zone-Devinuwara & Dickwella Division) has got the approval from the government. According to this project Thalalla South Maha Vidyalaya has become the first e-Village school zonal Education office of Matara.
This project aiso handed over The Secondary Education Modernization Project (SEMP) of Ministry of Education &
Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka(ICTA).
We hope their sponssership also will get.

In our school now the lessons are conducted effectively Computer,Internet and other electronic devices.
The available computer devices are insufficient for the successful learning of above students.
